To create an Instagram Guide, you must have an Instagram account (either a personal, business, or creator account) and the Instagram app installed on your mobile device. Ensure that you are using the latest version of the app, as the Guides feature may not be available on older versions.

Accessing the Guides feature

  • Open the Instagram app on your mobile device and navigate to your profile.

  • Tap the "+" icon located in the upper right corner of the screen.

  • Select "Guide" from the menu that appears.

Choosing a Guide type

  • After selecting "Guide," you will be prompted to choose a Guide type: Places, Products, or Posts. Choose the type that best aligns with the content you want to create and share.

Adding content

Depending on the Guide type you selected, you will now add content to your Guide:

  • For Places: Search for a location or select one from your saved posts. Tap "Add Place" and choose a post featuring that location.

  • For Products: Search for products or browse through your liked and saved posts that feature shoppable items. Tap "Add Product" and select a product to include in your Guide.

  • For Posts: Browse through your liked and saved posts or search for specific content by username. Tap "Add Post" and choose a post to include in your Guide.

Customizing and arranging the Guide

  • After adding content, you can customize your Guide by adding a title, a cover image, and a description for each item included in your Guide.

  • To rearrange the order of items in your Guide, tap and hold the two horizontal lines next to an item and drag it to the desired position.

Publishing and sharing the Guide

  • Once you have customized your Guide and are satisfied with the content, tap "Next" in the upper right corner.

  • Review your Guide and tap "Share" to publish it on your profile.

  • After publishing, your Guide will appear in a dedicated tab on your profile, represented by a booklet icon.

  • To share your Guide with your followers or on other platforms, tap the three-dot menu in the upper right corner of your Guide and select "Share" or "Copy Link."
